It seems that it is about the most widespread model in France (1982-1984). There is no cover, the lens is protected under a trap door. Big problem of this model, the battery with lithium is integrated into the body, and only the Kodak After Sales could carry out the replacement of it. It is often the reason for which, the 4000 found in secondhand trade are often accompanied by a good of the SAV.

The model, in spite of an advantageous chrome presentation, is basic, and does not have any setting. The release of the flash is automatic and there is no possibility of testing its loading.
The 4000 could be protected by a kind of eveready bag made of rubber plastic.
